Interdisciplinary Team of Voice Experts

Voice Mentoring is the name of our multidisciplinary team, our network of voice-trained scientists and professionals, who have decided to combine our knowledge and dynamics, to combine science, experience and art in order to be able to approach voicing from many angles and recognize all dimensions of the human voice.

To the Mentor of the Homeric Odyssey, Odysseus entrusted the affairs of his palace when he left for the Trojan War . The goddess Athena took the form of Mentor on many occasions, such as to accompany Telemachus to Pylos and Sparta in search of his father, or to assist Odysseus during the inevitable extermination of Penelope ‘s suitors. .
The French author François Fenelon, in his work Les Aventures de Telemaque(“The Adventures of Telemachus”, 1699) presents the Mentor-Athena accompanying Telemachus on his journey, giving him directions with his friendly opinion and finally bringing him back to his father, Odysseus. In this way, the word “Mentor” , which has been returned as a “partial” counter-loan in modern Greek, generally refers to the counselor and friend who acts as a spiritual guide – as a mentor. In English we meet the derivatives mentoring, mentorship, mentoree / mentee .

Voice Mentoring  expresses our team’s common belief that voice and disorders of voice production are always multi-dimensional  and, as such, can not and should not be approached by any one field of specialization. For this reason, our network of voice-trained scientists and professionals decided to combine our knowledge and dynamics, to combine science, experience and art in order to be able to approach the voice from many angles and recognize all dimensions of  the voice.  We work together, we learn from each other, trying to constantly improve, to create developments and not to passively follow  contemporary approaches without adding multidisciplinary experiences to our practices.

Knowledge is transmitted, evolved and constantly challenged or verified. But it always moves forward and improves our daily lives. And our voice. And our mood. And finally it justifies our concerns and efforts.
